Soon after the grand celebration of Durga Puja, Indraprastha Bangiya Parishad observes Kali Puja—the festival of lights—with devotion and joy. On this special day, we worship Maa Kali and also host an award ceremony to honour participants of the cultural and sports events held during Durga Puja.

Significance of Bengali New Year and Its Celebration at IPBP Poila Boishakh

At Indraprastha Bangiya Parishad (IPBP), Poila Boishakh is celebrated with great enthusiasm and warmth. Members come together dressed in traditional attire to enjoy an evening filled with music, dance, poetry and authentic Bengali cuisine. Cultural programs showcase the rich literary and artistic heritage of Bengal, with active participation from all age groups. The celebration is more than just festivity—it reflects our collective identity and shared roots. For the IPBP community, Poila Boishakh is a reminder that even away from home, our traditions continue to thrive with pride and unity.
