OUR BACKGOUND
Indraprastha Bangiya Parishad (IPBP) is a dynamic socio-cultural organization based in the National Capital Region, dedicated to preserving and promoting Bengali heritage, traditions and community spirit. Established by a group of like-minded Bengali families, IPBP has flourished over the last 25 years as a vibrant platform that celebrates inclusivity, culture and togetherness.
While our flagship event—the grand Durga Puja—is at the heart of our identity, IPBP also organizes Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja, The Festival of Colours, Bengali New Year, Rabindra-Nazrul Sandhya, Annual Picnics and New Year’s Eve festivities. These events create a shared cultural space and strengthen the bonds among members and well-wishers.A
The Birth of “INDRAPRASTHA BANGIYA PARISHAD” — A Home Beyond Home
With a shared vision, a few of us Bengalis living across Faridabad and NCR came together to create IPBP—a common platform where we could connect, celebrate and truly belong.
Our dream was simple yet heartfelt: to build a space where we could gather, share laughter, exchange ideas, and spend meaningful moments in a homely, welcoming atmosphere. A place where not just joys, even sorrows could be shared—because we believe that shedding a tear with a friend is far more comforting than laughing with a stranger.
‘IPBP’ aspires to be more than just a social gathering. It’s our cultural hub—a space where hidden talents are celebrated, where community-driven events come to life, and where meaningful causes find a voice through camps, drives and initiatives for the greater good.

was celebrated with devotion and joy as we worshipped Goddess Saraswati, the divine source of wisdom and learning. Dressed in yellow, members and children participated in the rituals, cultural programs, and prayers, invoking blessings for knowledge, creativity and a bright academic journey ahead. MAA KALI PUJA / DIWALI
Soon after the grand celebration of Durga Puja, Indraprastha Bangiya Parishad observes Kali Puja—the festival of lights—with devotion and joy. On this special day, we worship Maa Kali and also host an award ceremony to honour participants of the cultural and sports events held during Durga Puja.
It’s a moment to recognize and appreciate the efforts and contributions of every IPBP member, celebrating not just the festival, but the spirit of unity and involvement that binds us all
Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti
Indraprastha Bangiya Parishad celebrated Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti with deep reverence and artistic fervor, honoring the legacies of two of Bengal’s greatest cultural icons—Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam. The evening featured soulful recitations, enchanting songs, and dance performances that beautifully captured their timeless works. Children and adults alike participated, bringing to life the poetic richness and revolutionary spirit of both legends. The atmosphere was filled with creativity, emotion and pride. This celebration not only paid tribute to their contributions but also inspired younger generations to embrace Bengali literature, music and values—strengthening our cultural roots within the IPBP community.
